Personally, I'm new to real estate and I had the same exact question for my peers. One of my mentors encouraged me to start off as a business because of all the risk that real estate has. To use your example, you can see that having a business takes away some of liabilities from your personal portfolio; things such as taxes and financing also work much differently with a business. I wish I had more to chime in with but like I said I'm also just starting out.

Hey Everyone,
I'm new to BP and real estate. I'm interested in starting out with wholesale deals in my area (Bloomington, IL). I want to know if I should get my broker license before getting my first deal??? And if anyone on here is from my area I'd really enjoy the chance to connect. Thanks.
