Hi everyone!
I am a new investor. I've been standing at the edge of the pool, learning and listening for YEARS. Now is time to just jump in and get this thing going! I'm interested in STR or MTR investing. My plan is to start with arbitrage to build some capital to fund down payments. I'd love to connect with investors in Charlotte or surrounding areas to learn and provide help where I can. I have graphic design/marketing skills (current job) and interior design skills (Interior Architecture degree and former stager). I know that building community is one of the most important things, so I look forward to connecting!

Yes this is extremely helpful! Thank you for the response! LLC is definitely the way to go it seems. And you've outlined a lot of good things to consider.

I have a lot of friends and family that want to get involved in real estate investing in various capacities. My thoughts are why not start a fund or company that everyone can participate in? Pool our money and resources together to get things moving. I can see the vision in my head, but I'm struggling with where to start to get things organized, get the knowledge I need and make sure everything is set up properly. Does anyone have suggestions for where to start? Any resources, books or tips would be helpful!

Thanks for sharing your story! I am getting started as we speak and will renovate my mom’s house with her and turn it into our first rental. It’s sometimes hard to find the courage to get started but your story is inspiring. Just get started with what you have and learn along the way!

For me it’s been limiting beliefs and not prioritizing investing enough to make the time. But now I’m at the point where I’m ready to stop talking about it and take action! I’m accepting that I’m not going to know everything or be perfect at it... but the fastest way to learn is by doing.
