Hi Nico, thanks for reaching out.

My goal is just to

1. learn what a good deal is and how to make good deals,

2. learn what the different facets of real estate are and what facet best suits me, and

3. most especially, I just want to get started and stop learning theory only.

Any information or help you can provide to enable me reach any of my goals above would be very much appreciated.

Thats awesome Christopher. Are you thinking of getting into the real estate experience yourself? Maybe buy a property?

I have a real estate agent who is very conservative, who doesn't know about creative financing (nor dor I really), and who seems to care more about putting in a "reasonable" offer, than putting in an offer I am comfortable with.

Should I just become a real estate agent myself and handle all the transactions myself?

Hi Meredith, how did your first investment property purchase go?

Did you end up setting up an Airbnb operation at that property?

Oh wow, a fellow Winnipeger. Its very nice to meet you Diana.

Renting out a few rooms in my house is an awesome idea. I am currently exploring the idea of buying a duplex and renting out the other side.

Much luck to you as well Diana. Thanks for reaching out

Hi everyone, my name is Chibuzor and I new to BiggerPockets.

I have been interested in Real Estate for the past year, and have spent the past few weeks educating myself here on BiggerPockets.

I am raring to get started in purchasing Real Estate and I currently have three potential paths forward (please feel free to correct my ideas or suggest a more efficient method of getting started in the real estate business)

1. Buy houses for rental purposes, and make sure you only accept houses that give you a 12% or greater ROI, OR

2. (Since I recently purchased a house and have no money), I should analyze deals, find great deals, and BRRR them or look for private money in purchasing those deals, turn them into rentals, and split the rental income, OR

3. (Wholesaling) Find deals by sending out mailers, figure out what house owners need for their properties and what you are willing to pay, agree on an acceptable price, put the house under contract, and find a suitable buyer for the property

As mentioned above, please feel free to correct my ideas or suggest a more efficient method of getting started in the real estate business

I look forward to talking to some of the awesome people that use this forum. All the BiggerPocket podcast guests have spoken very highly of this forum.

Nice to meet you all.
