I currently have a 4 bedroom house that I am interested in renting out as income property and was wondering what are the most important renovations to be made for that? And also the first steps to renting out a house in general? (I do not live in the house, so I would not need to move out)

My name is Christina and I am a hotel professional in Dallas, Texas with a background in marketing. I have an interest in real estate investing in the aspect of owning income properties, and flipping homes. I also have an interest in investing to own commercial real estate. I heard about bigger pockets from a colleague of mine at the full service hotel I work at in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
