Hi @Eric Chiu  I'm located here in Southern California.  Do you plan of hiring all the contractors, creating the design, and managing the work yourself?

You will definitely need a detailed scope of work to get accurate estimates.  If you need basic numbers to run off of you might be able to some local contractors to give you a rom estimate for specific types of work.

Insurance is so important, ask for a copy with whomever you plan of signing with. Not all contractors have professional E&O, its not required by law.

Also not all contractors use the same type of contract structure.  I'm a design/build so my contract is different than just a regular gc.

Most manufacturers don't hold seller permits (collect tax and file with each state) therefore they will not sell directly to the public.  I hold a sellers permit as part of my interior design business.  When it comes to certain things manufacturers will only sell directly to certain installers that meet their requirements.  Your best bet is to find a interior design who is transparent in their pricing so you know their markup.  But just so you know most granite fabricators don't mark up the granite all the cost is in fabrication.

I would say if it aint broke don't fix it.  Style wise the bathroom looks good, I like its best to keep the style consistent.  If you dress the mirror up too much from the rest of the bathroom it will look inconsistent.   Just a side note, medicine cabinets on the side are probably more out of style then the full wall mirror.

Since your objective is to appeal to a large audience, I would change both the front door and garage door.
