I just heard a little about this in a class I took today. I'm looking forward to learning more about it!

Quote from @Christina Tsutsui-Tharp:

I just opened my own brokerage in May in Central Oregon (Bend area, not Eugene) and am trying to decide when is the right time to bring on some other agents?

My long term goal is to have around 7 full time agents and a few admin. I only have a virtual TC helping me right now.

How do I know I'm ready?!

I mentored 3 other agents at my last brokerage; my partner decided to buy that company and the other 2 stayed to help her with the large workload.

 Have you considered different team models? It is more profit/less headache building a team around you and your production than it is to carry the risk and problems of other full time agents hanging their license under you.. Unless you enjoy the training of new agents and educating on license law/commission rules!

 Yes, I think that is the route I might prefer to go.  A teamerage. I'll start looking into those different models. Thank you

I use my personal number. I've been licensed in real estate for 4 years but a business owner for 10 before that and have always used my personal number. I do have another number through my CRM that I can use but it just confuses people now.

I'm curious as to why people say not to use a personal number? In 14 years I've never really had an issue.

Thanks for sharing. Info like this is extremely valuable. Being in Central Oregon I've absolutely seen a lot of people moving into the area but also relocating throughout the state as well.

One site that I keep an eye on for this information is HowMoneyWalks.com you can break it down by county to who is coming in from where and where they are going to.

Hi Eli,

I would love to connect as well.

As a REALTOR in the area and new investor it would be extremely helpful to have a contractor to work alongside.

My husband is a contractor but his focus is mainly on manufactured homes.

When should we meet?

@Alicia Marks

Yes, we just closed on land for our first investment and are under contract to move a pre-owned manufactured home over. The plan is to sell and purchase a few more lots in the same area in Eastern Oregon and continue adding manus.
