@Nina Granberry I created a betterment account for myself where all excess funds go into to. You can choose a conservative balance so that you money grows more securely without being overly effected by the ups and downs of the stock market. Betterment will choose stocks automatically based on your goals so it is pretty hands off and your money still remains liquid.

@Chris Witham do you have any relatives that trust you enough? Maybe you can ask them to open up a HELOC for you to borrow from? This would be a type of private money but perhaps would be easier to find rather than someone having $$$ sitting in a liquid account like a savings account or SDIRA.

@Dalton O'Rourke

I am in the exact situation you are as well. I am also really interested in BRRRRing and am located in NJ too but I seem to be stuck as well. I have read many BP books and other books on real estate but I do not feel to be ready. I am open to perhaps collaborating with you so maybe we can prime ourselves out of our paralysis stage.

Jada, I have been dumping money into my ROTH IRA, employer 401k and my own investment fund and am looking to diversify my investments and I recently finished Rich Dad Poor Dad so I found out about bigger pockets and started just pouring over their podcasts (Real Estate Rookie especially), bought the BRRRR book and a few other BP books so I am gunning to get started. I know if I slow down I'll get myself suck in analysis paralysis, so I am reaching out to try to kick start myself.
