Depending on the lender you work with you can have at least 4 mortgages in your name assuming you have met all the lender qualifications for income, debt ratio, credit score, etc. It is wise, if possible, to get a mortgage in only one spouse name that way you can easily scale to 8 properties (4 in your name, 4 in your husband name)

Have you considered hard money Ashley? Usually that's a route that's taken when traditional lenders say no.
