Yes you can use your HELOC to purchase a home from auction sites. They don't ask questions about where you get the cash from. When you refinance it is a different story. Then they will want to make sure that you were the person who contributed the money to buy the house. I just did this earlier this year. You can only take out what you put in if you get a loan less than six months after the purchase. Regards

Thanks Clayton for the detailed response.  You are right there are a tremendous number of people with countless angles.  I am skeptical as well.

wow, it is a small world. The trout farm inn just recently had a fire and they have not reopened. What are you purchasing in Vegas? My business partners and I have SFR's (3/2) on the east side of town. So far things are going well rents about 1100 on average.

Hello,

I am an investor from California.  I have a full-time job in Silicon Valley and I am a mechanical engineer.  My father was a real estate agent and I have always wanted to get into the business.  I have been investing since 2009 where I purchased two properties in Fresno.  I have purchased 3x other properties in Las Vegas with some investor friends of mine.  I am looking to purchase additional properties over the next 10yrs so that I can move into full-time investing.

Regards,

Eric Erickson
