Hi all,

I'm doing a 1031 exchange now. I am open to buying anywhere in the U.S., my main criteria being to find a place where the rent-to-price ratio is favorable and, while it may not be a high growth area, there is a smaller chance of a downside (think Indy or Cleveland). Can anyone recommend a particular (few) R.E. markets in the U.S. where I might look to do a 1031 exchange into 2 SFH or a triplex/4-plex?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi all!

Does anyone know where I can find rent-to-price ratio data for all the major cities in the U.S.?

I can find avg. price data pretty easily via a number of online sources. I can't seem to find avg. rent data, but if I could, I'd compile my own spreadsheet - and share it here.

Maybe someone knows where this data can be found?

Alex
