I too am in the beginning stages of Real Estate. You seem to be thinking a lot of what I was right out of high school. My suggestion as someone who's not far ahead but just recently experienced much of what you're about to is first get a job. Do your best to find something close to the field of real estate but any job will do. Just don't sell your self short, know your worth. Look to make connections by seeking out the right people to help you with acquiring the jobs you may seek. Then set your self a financial plan so that you have goals to meet and keep up with. That will keep you focused and on track. Also the college classes don't hurt but anything you feel you may be able to learn online for free with the same quality of information do so. Keep active here on BP and continue to educate yourself. There are loads of fantastic people here who are willing to help out as you continue on your path. There is no specific key to starting its really all about just doing it. As you continue to work, more of what you are specifically looking for will fall into place. I hope that helps at least a little!

P.S. Feel free to PM me and we can chat further if you have any questions about getting a job and how to present yourself as someone without a degree. I also do a few things outside real estate which have helped me immensely as a young entrepreneur if you're interested in hearing about them.

Hi everyone! My names Christopher Meaker, I'm 20 years old and more than ready to get started in my REI career. I found this site just from simple google browsing trying to further educate myself in the world of REI. I've been browsing around BP for awhile now and recently decided to jump in and become a pro member to gain access to the full value of the site. I currently live in Syracuse, NY and will be moving to Orlando, FL in the spring to be with some of my business partners. I am mainly concerned with multifamily rentals and passive income. Eventually I hope to move into larger scale projects in commercial real estate. Most everything I've said can also be found on my profile, although it is not entirely complete I will be updating more as time goes on and completing it within the near future. BP has and its community has already taught me so much and I look forward to connecting and contributing as I gain experience.
