Darren, when I am in the US, my office is in Jersey City and Manhattan should you ever be interested in another cup of Starbucks?
Nice to see so many people meeting cool BP folks in all parts.
Thank you all for sharing,
Jonathan

That's fun to hear.
We enjoy staying more residentially when we travel (e.g., AirBNB).
Let's us feel more part of a place while also being economic.
Nice to hear that a BP member could help you enjoy Cancun that way.
Also fun the hear that you've been able to meet BP folks from all over.

I really enjoy that cool real estate folks are all around.
Finding BP folks in Alaska sounds very fun. Hope that was a great trip.
Sounds as if @Brie Schmidt may have found the biggest concentration of traveling BP-ers in recent times.
While @Brandon Turner clearly found the most caffeinated ones.
Will let you know if I find any here in Bangalore. I would not be surprised at all.
Please continue to share where you have met BP folks on your travels if you have.
Thank you.
Safe travels,
Jonathan

I am sitting in Dubai's ginormous, flashy airport checking my BP dashboard as I wait to fly to India for work.
Am curious if there are BP members around me here?
No doubt.
Last week, I learned from @Joshua Dorkin that BP meet-ups happen all over the world.
To prove his point, Josh sent me a Tweet from a recent meet- up in Korea.
@Brie Schmidt mentioned to me recently that she met some great BP folks while traveling.
Have you met cool BP folks while on the road?
Where is the most interesting place you have come across a BP member?
Have a nice day,
Jonathan

Hey @Brandon Turner ,
It is nice to hear that I've made your day.
You've written a really useful book.
Your section on HELOCs has helped me better optimize my up-coming portfolio refinancing.
Frankly, I should have been able to think my way to the same answer absent your book, but the spirit of your message has helped me be more creative in considering my options.
In my book, that is worth a shout out.
Hopefully many others will share their positive thoughts as well.
Thank you again,
Jonathan
P.S. I am glad to see that you stopped by my blog. Much appreciated.

Welcome to BP. Lots of people here got their start in a similar manner to yours.
If you need it, there is a lot of advice to be gathered here.
Also, consider listening to the free podcast shows available on iTunes.
They are a nice way to learning from folks with varying experience.
Try the shows featuring @Brie Schmidt and @Dawn Anastasi to start, if you need landlord starter tips.
Good luck,
Jonathan

Today I brought my hard copy of the book with me to the office.
It was nice to see how many folks stopped to ask about it or to ask to borrow it.
The topic is exciting for anyone with the real estate bug, which in my office is most.
As I am in London, my colleagues and I were discussing the concepts at a high level only.
But even so, the interest was strong from many.
It was a nice basis for Monday morning chatter other than the usual.
Hope you all are enjoying it.
Do share what you've enjoyed.
Thank you,
Jonathan

With markets recovering in many of the states above, I suspect banks are beginning to be willing to clear non-performing inventory that they have opted to ignore since the crisis. Would be interesting also to understand how implementation of Basel III rules may be impacting banks' desire to improve the quality of their asset books. Regulators appear to care far more now about asset quality than may have previously been the case.
