I highly recommend Mark Perlberg. Mark has helped me save a tremendous amount of money in taxes over the last several years through cost segregation and other strategies. He specializes in working with real estate investors in the STR space. When you talk about hiring the best and surrounding yourself with people that are smarter than you, Mark is THE CPA.

Alright, here's a fun one. For most of us, the reason we invest, sell, lend, insure, and manage is ultimately to have the freedom to spend our time how we choose with our favorite people. If you're an experienced and successful investor, please provide some motivation to the folks just starting out. If you're just starting out, please share your recent momentum.

Tell us-
1. Your favorite trip you've taken due to a Real Estate success
2. Your next big trip and how Real Estate is making it happen
3. Suggestions to all the BP folks who will be financially independent one day- where should we go? what should we do? How do we spend all of our time freedom?

Bragging in this post will help motivate and inspire, don't hold back! Hoping to become green with jealous rage by your incredible travels.

Thanks,
Corbin

Post: What Trends, News, and Data Do You Pay Attention To!

I really like the distinction between Micro vs Macro. I think there has been a ton of good suggestions for info specific to local markets.

I've been looking for more resources to pay attention to at the Macro level. Does anyone want to throw out their favorite podcast/front-page news source/ Graph / Index "cocktail" that works for them? Anything that has helped you make sound investing decisions over time would be great to know. Thanks in advance!

@Myka Artis thank you for this insight. When you say you're buying out of the auctions, what does that mean?

Thanks in advance.

@Cole Britting Really cool idea and I like the energy! The 4 hr work week is fantastic and awesome that you're reading it in college, I wish I had found it earlier...I have no experience in this area but will be following along as well. When you buy your place on the Amalfi coast, please let me know how it's done!

Hoping to resurrect this post and see if anyone has any new information on this topic?

LTR/STR's are great, but as an additional revenue stream, is anyone having success with this? If so, what's the best investment? (Driveables vs Towables, Smaller vs Larger, Sprinter van vs traditional style).

Thinking the only exit strategy is to sell...

@Maya Henderson did you decide to go through this process? Have you seen success? Reading the audio book now and considering this as an option.

Post: Short Term Rentals with Partners- How do you structure?

I have a few friends and fellow investors that are interested in partnering on short term rental properties, but I don't know how to structure the deal. I'm hoping to get some sound advice on how to structure these deals to protect each partner's ROI and the relationship.

In particular, I'd like to know how to structure a deal where the other partner is fronting the down payment.

Thanks,
