I would say that depends on your current portfolio. If you have never purchased a multi-family property there is tremendous education in starting with a smaller multi-unit. It comes down to your comfort level. I purchased my first duplex at 21 but it was a house hack that taught me a tremendous amount about the complexities of real estate even still there is more to learn owning a larger apartment complex. I would say if you can continue to educate yourself and network you will be in the best position to purchase the right property. Good luck!

Hi,
Really excited to be a new member. A client of mine recommended the site and I look forward to interacting and engaging with others that are as passionate about real estate as I am.
I have done a few flips but my strategy has been primarily buy and hold multi-family houses in the state of Jersey. Always looking to network and share real estate experiences.
Cheers!
