@Lyle Quillin I'm an airborne infantryman in the Army. I've been on two deployments to Afghanistan in the last three years. It's been hard but that hasn't stopped me from investing. In the beginning you may have to slow down as you re-learn a new area and technique but if you're put into a lower priced area those cash reserves could kick start you on your way. Thanks for your service, good luck.

@Kenneth Hynes I can give you the name of my property manager. I trust her with my rentals but, as always, you can vet her through your needs if you want.

I've done two deployments in three years with the Army so I know how that feels. I used my VA entitlement to purchase a multifamily home, quadplex, near where I'm stationed and that does pretty well for me. Using that income I'm moving to buy more once I ets this year. I hope you figure out a path to go down. Me personally, I'm all about getting paid without doing much work haha. Best of luck to you.

@Sophia McMillion I'm in the military and started by buying a quad plex near base with a VA loan. There are benefits and risks associated with everything you do but I haven never regretted any of the moves we made. I hope you figure out what you want to do, good luck and welcome!

@Robert M. I completely agree with you. A few dollars doesn't mean as much to me as my word, and I do what I say I'm going to do.

@Juan Ayala we are in a similar situation. I'm currently active in the military and I'm about to ETS, just came back from Afghanistan a few months ago and now I'm pushing to do deals on the east coast. My mother is selling her home to free up 150k for me to invest so we have a similar story.

For my first deal I ended up using part of my VA entitlement to buy a quadplex near where I'm stationed. The couple of properties that I have in the works now are creating some special problems. I hope everything works out for you and your deals.
