@Chrystal T.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm a big fan of what Cleveland has to offer, but I'm admittedly biased since that's my own back yard. I don't know anything specific about the Columbus market but I do readily acknowledge that many midwest cities have potentially excellent returns for investors.

@Greg Johns

Hi Greg, welcome to the forums.

The Cleveland area may be worth investigating further. Rents are very high relative to acquisition prices so the possibility for substantial cash flow in the present exists here and in other midwest markets. I can't speak with much knowledge or experience about markets other than the Cleveland area, but feel free to bounce questions off of me.

@Charles Worth

I concur with @James Wise and @Isaac Rowe about Maple Heights. It's not my favorite area but some people target it pretty heavily for rentals and rehabs. The city has a reputation for being obnoxious to deal with.

I don't target that area specifically but I wouldn't shy away from something that made sense just because it's there either.

@Rob Fordham

Hi Rob. You start up an LLC by filing the Articles of Organization with the Ohio Secretary of State. I also typically recommend that the members (owners) have an Operating Agreement in place as well. This should give you a starting point for your research. Of course, my firm can assist you with this as well.
