So you are explaining the concept here to find a partner or to get feedback on the idea?  It sounds like you already have nearly everything done, including a website and are seeking feedback, but the title says, "seeking partner."  It sounds like a great concept but i'm not clear what you are looking for, feedback or a partner?  and what do you need the partner to do?

Ronald, Austin's super-hot market is a double-edged sword.  I've seen very few truly good deals in Austin so I have properties in San Antonio and Killeen. There are many good areas closer to Austin like San Marcos and Manor, and San Antonio is really a good market.   I'm pretty new also and find Austin to be very difficult to find a good deal and then very expensive.  Start networking and keep reading.  I can send you several meetup locations if you in-box me, or just sign up on Meetup.com, put your real estate intrest and there are tons of meetings.  Hope to see you around!

Hugh,  I'm in Austin too and would be interested in meeting up with this group, unless it's a closed group. When do you meet?

hey Eli,

I'm in Austin also and there is a great real estate investing network here in Austin. Start with 11:30 every Thursday at Big Daddy's Burgers on Burnet rd. There are many, many more meetings, but this is weekly and pretty big.

Austin is a tough market because it's expensive and booming, but the areas all around Austin are doing well because of it.

Good luck and I hope to see you around and on Thursdays!

Cyndy

Welcome Adrian.  I am in about the same place as you, although just getting my realtor's license.  BP is a great resource for research, analysis, and as a connector of like-minded people.  There are are also several meetings around town that I encourage you to attend and start building a local network.

Good luck and hopefully we'll meet up around town!

I'm also in Austin and find the same issues, so I'm looking out of town. Kileen, San Marcos, Bastrop. And I'm trying to network w other investors around town to get more eyes looking. Maybe we'll cross paths at an REI meeting and can compare notes.

wow, I love these posts!  I'm definitely a visual learner so the videos are great, and since I live in Austin I'm interested in the tree ordinance, also.

Where is the next meet up that you and Jerred are referencing?  I'm just getting started and  am interested in finding local contacts.
