@James Wise @Jerry Padilla Thank you both for the advice. A few more months of study and scouting around and I will make my first purchase

@Walker Hinshaw Thanks for the welcome and those helpful links. I will look into those now. @Ben Leybovich Thank you, Sir! How are things out in Ohio? @Dan Mackin I appreciate the welcome. Yes, I figured that the area would be ripe with competition but, that just means I'll be forced to learn more and faster! I hope to see you all out there!

@James Wise Thanks for the welcome! I'm just starting out so, I'd assume starting small and working my way up to larger props is a sound idea? Start with a small single family home and trade up to larger props over time? I know everyone has a different portfolio because of different techniques and what personally works for them. I don't currently own a home and never have so, maybe utilize the "first time home buyer" perks to my advantage? Thoughts and opinions from everyone would be welcome!

Hello everyone. Native New Yorker, extended visitor to Colorado by way of Florida here :) I happened upon this forum as I was doing research on Real Estate Investing and how the whole thing works. More specifically, I was learning how to calculate ROI on investment deals. Nice too see I'm not the only noob to the business. I have no experience but have been very committed to learning and absorbing as much as I can over the last month and will continue to do so. Any and all advice as to what to study and what one can do when starting off with little to no seed money is very appreciated!
