Great design! Love that rug in photo 3, did you get that from Revival? I did a reverse image search and it came up there sold out.

Agree with not going the kitchy neon and mural route, I don't think that design trend will age well. A design like this is timeless, well done.

hanks Jon for great note! We sourced it Banana Republic home as one of our connections during their close-out of the many items we bought up to put in storage and this project was perfect for it

Very nice! Curious what the retail value of that property would be?  And assuming $165k is gross income potential?

Current retail value of property somewhere around 775-825k if purchased today (home last purchased 2002)

Quote from @Patricia Andriolo-Bull:

I'm in a beach vacation area so I stick to bright whites and neutral tones but have some pops of coastal color.  I focus on higher end so I try to bring in some higher end design as well but keep things very free of clutter with only the staples available.  People seem to like this.  A couple of photos as examples.

Great job! Beautiful property and obsessed with those windows

Great job @Devin Dang! Is this in north or northeast Austin? I toured a home last year that looked a lot like this one and just curious if it's the same house :)

Yessir! Great memory, sounds like its the same house (:

Quote from @Jason Grote:

Hey Devin, great job on this place.  It looks stunning.  Love the idea of transitioning to the boutique hotel look.  Nice numbers as well.  What part of town is this in?

Thanks Jason, long time no talk! In north austin (78758).

Dropping here for the time stamp haha, we are coining the term "Boutique Bnb" in this next wave of STRs!

Quote from @Justin Sheley:

@Devin Dang Love the midcentury and natural tones throughout your property. I agree with you that it provides a different level of class to the space. We just made a similar decision with our rental in Kauai, when most properties were white and blue and "beach" themed, we really went with the moody color scheme and played off the natural wood tones and mountains greens. To me your design seems much more timeless and may potentially even attract a guest avatar that is more likely to take good care of your home. Congrats on the great property, love it!

Agreed! When everyone zigs (classic beach theme in Kauai) gotta zag (different timeless design) to differentiate. Would love to see photos of that property and how it turned out

Quote from @Michael K Gallagher:

wow really love the design, and more than anything I love that you went in with "intention" those are always the projects that seem to do the best.

Thanks Michael! Our design studio went back and forth for a while, the bright color explosion is really popular here but we decided to go against the grain and stick to what we believe is the next wave of what people want and "intention"/"storytelling" is the core of what we do with all the designs

Quote from @Scott Mac:

I think your decorator has hit a home run!

The dramatic wooden ceiling caught my eye first, and then everything I looked at, just made it look better.

Good Luck!

Thanks @Scott Mac! Our team actually runs Reclamation, a design studio that works with a lot of STR investors all the way to commercial projects that did this project and had a blast with it. The wood ceiling was single-handedly our favorite light renovation to transform the space
