Hi Danny, welcome to Bigger Pockets! This is a great community to definitely get started. I started my journey by reading books. I read David Greene's "BRRRRR" and Brandon Turner's Multi-family "Multi-Family Millionaire" Vol 1 & 2. That is what gave me the confidence to get started.

I then went about house-hacking a duplex, BRRRR' in a full gut property, fix & flipping a property, and then raising private capital to scale all within 1 year. It was all a snowball effect. Now, I'm currently under contract for a few more properties that my private lender is helping me fund. I've done this all in the best parts of the Columbus market.

Alfath, that is amazing! Congratulations on your early success! I love the house hacking idea! 

However, I am not willing to go this route as my family and I are in our dream neighborhood and kids are thriving with neighborhood friends and schools. So, we are looking into different financing options. I’m getting started in all of this a little later in life :)

Michael, that’s really great information! I wish I knew this before I chose my PM. I definitely did not do my research and just went off a pretty slick talking guy at this particular company.
