I am a newbie so I may not have a lot to contribute but I live close by in Conifer. My first investment property is actually in New York. The market is so hot here I am a little worried to jump in and my brother in New york has been able to purchase 3 multi family houses, for a great deal. Hopfully I can move into the Denver area soon.

Thank you all. I understand the basics of book keeping and I think once I have my books set up, I will only need help with doing my taxes and the occasional question. Hopefully my friend will give me a good rate otherwise I might look into an accountant or even a software package. I appreciate the insight,

thank you all. I do have a friend who is a cpa. What is a fair rate to pay for a cpa. Do you pay by the hour?

Hi All,
I am so glad I found bigger pockets and I am looking forward to learning from all of the experienced people on this site. I just bought my first investment property. My goal is to buy and hold properties for cash flow but I am considering flipping a few houses in order to generate enough revenue to get started in the buy and hold market. I live outside Denver Colorado but my first investment is in Ellenville NY where my brother lives. I appreciate any advise and I am looking for a mentor if there is anyone willing to partner with me for the future. Thanks.
