@Michael Kiley

Thank you for your suggestion! Hearing the story of guy with the 5 houses and the heloc method gave me more inspiration.  I can see the light at the end.

@Kevin Coleman

I'm got a skilled handy man who can solve that problem.  How can I send you his info?

@Salvatore Lentini

That is good sound advice. I guess I would sleep better being mortgage free with some asset protection in place. Perhaps a LLC or Land trust.

thanks!

@Greg Scott @Joel Owens

I want to live off the rental income. I see that there are more risks to not having loans.  It sounds very dangerous to live free and clear.

@Kenneth Garrett

Thanks

That is my goal. I want to be free and clear but I see that comes with huge risks.

@Patricia Steiner

Thank you !

1) I want these to be paid off so I can live off the passive income.

2) These are long time rentals to live off of for life.

3) My last flip was 15 years ago. (long time)

4) They are in my name.

I see that I need to quite claim them.

All five have renters in them and I'm house hacking in the 3 flat. I want to discover strategies to pay the loans off on these properties as quickly as possible. So would you flip homes until you pay off the loans or would you buy and hold some SFH's using the BRRRR strategy to pay off the mortgages ? What would you do in this situation?
