Hi all, my name is Dave Mason. I'm an author, currently living in Jerusalem, Israel. I discovered BiggerPockets while researching a novel I'm currently writing in which the main character is pursuing financial independence. I have found the information thus far on this website to be fantastic, and have already incorporated the House Hack and the BRRRR into my book based on what I have learned here.

My prior writing has been in the area of Biblical Fiction (I'm also an Orthodox Rabbi), but lately, I've been expanding into the area of personal growth novels. I recently completed one in this area that I'm not readying for publication, and the book on financial independence will hopefully be book 2.

I do have some specific questions that I'm eager to interview active members on, but I will put them into separate posts.

Thank you all for the high level of contribution and discussion available on this forum.
