@Will Barnard awesome! Thank you for the advice! I reached out to the guy regarding POF and I'm waiting to hear back.

Hi @Mitch Messer, thank you for responding so quickly. Should I ask for the POF right now since I haven't started talking to sellers yet?

Thanks again!

I posted an ad on Craigslist and I had an investor reach out to me and tell me that he is looking for wholesale deals in the area that I live.

Upon further inspection via White Pages and LinkedIn it seems that he is legit and in my area but how do I know for sure? Are there any questions that fellow wholesalers on here ask potential buyers before working with them to screen them?

Thanks!

Does anyone know of any wholesaler friendly title companies in the Reno/Sparks area? Thanks!

@Alexander Yates thank you for the advice. I was thinking the same thing since there are still a lot of areas outside of the Valley that are still reasonable. The North Valleys and Fernley would be great - I was even thinking Carson City.

I sent you a connection request and it would be great to grab coffee sometime and discuss RE.

I'm 21 and work in the entertainment industry but have a lot of free time in the middle of the day often and I'm looking for something else to do. Wholesaling real estate is something that is very intriguing to me since it would allow me to be involved in real estate without having to become an agent and having a full-fledged career (I'm not looking for that).

I live in Reno, NV and in the past few years real estate prices have gone up across the board meaning that it's impossible to find wholesale deals that are dirt cheap like $20-50,000, the homes here that I've found would be at least $250,000. My thought is that maybe the higher prices could be an advantage since the spread isn't as noticeable. I could be wrong but it's just a thought.

I guess what I'm wondering is if wholesaling in Reno/Sparks worth it or a waste of time? There are some markets near me that I could probably find deals virtually such as some cities in the Central Valley but I would like to stay local at first.

Thanks in advance!
