Understood. The biggest value add I bring to anything I do and especially this, is my passion to learn more and be one of the greats. I don't settle for losing, I use losses as my fuel to do more and do it better. When things get tough I do not quit and persevere through. Also, being new to this another huge value add I'd have for any investor is the fact that I have available time to continue to work and look for properties or items to make them money, therefore making me money as well.

Thank you for the book recommendation I will look into that ASAP!

Welcome!  What are you looking to learn about?

Hello! Anything and everything when it comes to real estate. I am a licensed agent in Missouri, but I am brand new to the industry so along with what I learn on my own(through podcast, youtube videos, seminars, etc.) I'm always looking to learn anything from people with more experience in this field than I have.

Hello all, happy Monday. This is now my second post ever. I am new to BP and new to real estate investing. I am a licensed agent so I do have access to sell properties myself, but I'm looking for investors to connect with as well as learn from. Any and all are welcome. Thank you in advance for your time.

How can I help? As I have posted several times, many say they want to " get in the game"

Ok so " what value are you bringing to the table " ?

All the best

I am mostly working in the KC metro area, but I was born and raised in the Denver CO metro area as well. My goal has always been to have multiple properties myself that I can cash flow from so I can travel and visit friends and family back home with no issue financially. Financial freedom has always been my goal since moving out at 17 and I strive to get there. I currently work at New Western in the KC office, but I am new to the city as well as real estate investments as a whole. I've done basic research to learn more about hard money, BRRRR, etc. but I find I lack the knowledge gained with experience. Such as, how to estimate a rehab successfully, knowing the jargon, learning about all of the small niches that come with any industry. Overall I'm just looking to connect with people to gain their insight and knowledge they've learned and continue to grow my book of business and hopefully gain some friends along the way.

Hey David! Welcome to BiggerPockets and thanks for joining!

Here are some tips for networking and making the most of your account.

1) I'd fill out your profile fully before you do anything else! As that will at least help folks that you reach out to know that you are a real person, with a picture and professional bio. Particularly be sure to include your goals for real estate investing so that folks can help you.

2) Go to the Search bar, and look for some local members in your area! Reach out to a few of the folks, perhaps those with hundreds or thousands of posts in this forum, and connect. You can do that here.

3) Check out some of the local meetups that you can find in this forum! There are so many so be sure to filter by your location.

4) Review this comprehensive 64 page deck on the state of the 2023 housing market (in your resource page as a member of BiggerPockets!) for real estate investors put together by Dave Meyer and available for all BiggerPockets members.

5) Consider meeting with a few agents in your area even if you are just getting started! An investor friendly agent can do all sorts of helpful things, like setting you up with a search for properties or connecting you with folks who have recently done deals like the ones you want to do.

6) Consider analyzing a deal or two in your local market, just for practice, with a free use of our Rental Property Calculator (or other calculators).

Hope this helps! Please reach out with any questions you may have!

Thank you! I'll review the page and make sure my personal page is filled out as extensively as can be!

Thank you kindly. I’m very excited to learn more about the city and explore the scene even further. I’m very much looking forward to connecting with investors and soaking in all of the information I can. Thank you again for your response, it’s a great feeling to be so welcomed.

Hello, my name is David and not only am I new to BP and Investing, but also new to the KC area. I was born and raised in the Denver metro area, so I'm always looking for new things to look at out here. Areas to visit, family events, public outings, sport games, anything. I'd love to connect with others to see what their favorite things to do out here are as well as to learn more about investing from people with more experience than I have! Thanks for having me!
