Post: Property Management Referrals (Windsor, ON)

Hey everyone!
I am currently in the process of looking into buying my first rental property, however, I live in Toronto and the properties I am looking at are in Windsor due to my price point. Since it is 4 hours away, I obviously need a property management company. Does anyone have any referrals for property management companies in this area? Also, what are your experiences like using a property management company? Is there anything I should be aware of with using them?
Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I'm looking into purchasing my first investment property. I live in Toronto Ontario and I am thinking of buying a duplex close to the University of Windsor. I found two duplexes, both close to the university, need some TLC.
Since this is my first, I'm still trying to gather information nessisary to make a more informed decision.
Any advice when looking for your first property? Looking for some guidance on my first purchase.
Much appreciated! 🙏
Dominic

@Dylan Earl Thank you!! If I go down the route of that duplex this helps a lot! I am debating between a duplex in London or a multiplex (6-7) units in Windsor currently. Crunching numbers this weekend!
hey @Hai Loc, did you end up investing in Windsor? I'm looking into it as well. The prices are really cheap and I am there once a month as it is. Anyone have info on Windsor? Is it a good time to get in there?

Hey guys,
I am looking to buy a duplex that is currently being rented out. Both units are being rented out well below market value, and they are large units. I want to evict the tenants in order to make renovations and charge market level prices. They are currently on a month to month agreement.
If I purchase the property, will they have to renegotiate with me? Will I have issues raising rent from 900/month to $1200?, what are the laws around renovating income property?
Thank you!
