Greetings fellow BP members. I happened across the podcast which has brought me here. I've started listening to the podcasts in chronological order and am currently at #37. 

A little about me: I got into real estate investing by seeing an opportunity and jumping right into it. I knew nothing about real estate at the time. 2 years ago I was getting divorced and looking for a place to live. There happened to be a house for sale nearby that had a garage that was converted into an apartment. I saw that I could have someone else pay my mortgage so I couldn't pass it up. The apartment was in good shape but the house needed a lot of work so I moved into the house and have been fixing it up in my free time. I've learned a lot in those two years and have wanted to throw in the towel a couple times but I persevered and have decided that I would like to get into REI full time. My long term goal is to buy and hold. How I'm going to raise capital to get there, I'm still trying to figure out. I'm the type of guy that doesn't expect anything for free so I intend to build win/win relationships with people in the Saratoga, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Glens Falls NY areas.

I'd just like to say thanks to Joshua, Brandon and all the great people on these forums for all of the knowledge that you share!
