Hello BP community,

I was wondering if anyone would recommend some books for me to read about investing in apartment buildings.

Find yourself a niche. Active/Passive. Is RE gonna be a career, or part time until it forces you to make it a full time career? Lots of fun times ahead for you!

Thank you Mr. Lacey. I'm going to be an active. I might have to do it part time until I can support myself with and then I would jump in it full time. I'm really excited about the possibilities.

Thank you very much Mr. Lee. I really appreciate that. It sounds like you have a lot of experience in real estate. I was trying to find a job in the real estate industry when I first moved here but most people in my area don't seem to interested in giving newbies a chance. I'll be moving back to Arizona in May so I plan on trying again there. Do you have an idea of what you want to do?

Hello BiggerPockets community! My name is Dorian Thomas, I'm 23 years old and I am extremely excited to start carving my path to success using real estate investing. I've actually been interested in investing in real estate since I was a senior in high school trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do for a living. I quickly realized that I was unintentionally being taught how to be a sheep (find a job, save money, and hopefully have enough to retire on decades later) when really wanted to be a lion (be my own boss and enjoy a worry free lifestyle). I began reading every book on real estate investing that I could get my hands on and I froze. It was a ton of information. I felt like a blind pitbull, hungry for action but I had no idea what to do next. Thanks to Mr. Brandon Turner and the free course on this website (which is alot more helpful than anything I've ever paid for), I now know that I needed to find a niche and strategy to focus. I really want to buy and hold apartment complexes for the cash flow. Am I being too ambitious? For the past couple of weeks, after really reading some forums, blogs, and watching some of the BiggerPockets podcasts, sleep has been a rarity. I read and take notes until 4 in the morning (thats around the time I pass out), on my breaks at work, and during my free time at home. I am eager to begin taking action.
