Thank you Conn, yes, we just put in new flooring(Home Depot Life Proof)(pulled out the old carpet), painted cabinets(Rustoleum Kit), and replaced all the light fixtures(Home Depot and Amazon), and picked up a SS Stove off of Facebook Market Place ( to finish out the SS Appliance theme ) to bring it up to date. Saved a ton ( especially on flooring ) doing it ourselves, but did need to lean on a GC for some Deck and Masonry work.

Is your plan to do all service calls yourself, Leaning on a HandyMan, or are you leveraging a PM company ( Just curious ) ?

We haven't done much in the Holiday Island area, but need to get out there, it looks pretty neat.

@Henry Washington thank you for your response. Yes im moving within the next month and will be putting my current place up for rent in the next month. My main goal is to identify a good handyman, ready to go Day 1, so I’m not struggling last minute when an issues arise. My thought on the list is having multiple options to select from, giving priority to ones the community is recommending. The reason I asked about GC’s, is I thought since I was already bothering the community for Handymen recommendations, I might as well snag some Other contacts as well and yes, I’d be getting bids when a project requiring a GC arises :). Thanks again for the reach out and yes, if the local community didn’t mind a newbie sliding into a meetup, I’d love to join.
Hello Bigger Pockets world. I’ve been obsessing over the podcasts and books over the past several months and finally made the leap. We are planning to rent out our current home ( Bentonville ) here in the next month or so. We’re trying to build up a list of recommended Handymen, GC’s, Landscapers, plumbers, HVAC contacts, with Handymen being the first on our list to nail down. If you’ve dealt with any of the above and had an awesome experience, please drop a note, Thanks in advance and also, thanks for the great content, from an educational perspective, as well as from a motivational perspective. If this post is in the wrong category, I apologize in advance and will move it, ( assuming I can figure out how to do so )
