Hey Elvin!

That's awesome you are joining the real estate world! That is a great market to be getting started in. I have helped some investors in that area with funding in the past and they found some great success. Let me know if you ever want to talk more on that and I would be happy to assist.

Great! Thanks for the the offer!

Quote from @Hamp Lee III:

Most multifamilies on the market are overpriced and harder to cash flow. That’s why they sit on the market so long. There are some opportunities if you stay with it and not get emotional or anxious just to get something.

I wish you all the best.

Thanks! This is so true based on my current research in the area. I'm not giving up though, I'll hopefully find a deal eventually.

Welcome @Elvin Flores

Getting started with small multifamily is how I started investing as well. It can be a lot to digest at first but finding the right team can take a lot of the pressure and learning curve off of your plate. As far as advice, for newer folks, it's usually best to zero in on a particular strategy as soon as you outline your immediate and longer term goals. Same thought process really applies to any market you invest in as well and that's just zero in on the submarkets. Once you do, you'll really understand what constitutes "deals."

Feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect. Our team (@Jordan Moorhead & I) typically has a monthly meetup where we discuss all things real estate investing, we'd love to have you attend our next one.

Aaron

Thanks! Will do!

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to BiggerPockets and recently decided to take the dive into learning everything I can so that I can buy my first property. I'm new to Real Estate Investing and the San Antonio area. I'm actively trying to study the market to see if investing in multifamily homes is something I could feasibly do here very soon. I've begun exploring all that BP has to offer and recently subscribed to the podcast! If anyone in the current San Antonio market has any suggestions or insights they would like to share please let me know.

I'm very excited to join the BP community and I look forward to connecting with many of you.
