Hey all, I'm curious if the Durango Multifamily meetup group is still the most active REIA for Durango investors? My husband and I are in Denver and have a couple of properties here, but our long-term goal is to relocate to Durango (which we visit at least yearly and reminds us of how Denver used to feel!). We'd love to start connecting with other Durango investors as we plan for the future. Thanks!

@Lindsay Massengale Hey! I’m a newbie investor in Denver too (bought my first rental last year) and just wanted to say hello and also give props to @Erin Spradlin’s Denver Women Invest group. It’s a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere and I’m learning a lot from them. Erin and her husband also do a real estate podcast focused on Colorado Springs, and I will also second Chris Lopez’s Denver-based podcast. Lots of great information here!

@Shedrick Boyd Our first rental is a SFH. Would love to get into multi-family, but don't have the resources at this point. Also considering AirBnB, but we are not interested in moving, so have to study options carefully. Also looking outside Denver, but still in CO.

@Shedrick Boyd I believe you cannot currently AirBnB in Denver unless the property is your primary residence. I feel your pain on the market—looking for our next place also.

Hello Madigan, and welcome back to Denver! My husband and I are in a similar situation with two young kids, which does limit some investment possibilities, but not all. We're currently under contract on our first SFH in Aurora, though we did some looking in Colorado Springs (also a good option).
Chris Lopez has a great Denver-based REI podcast and focuses a lot on condos as a way to get started in the Denver area. We were also strongly considering condos as a possibility before we found our SFH. Good luck with your search!

@Noah Gregory I’m in the same boat! Interested to see how people weigh in. My husband and I had just started looking seriously at properties in Denver at the beginning of March, hoping to close and secure a tenant by summer. All of that went out the window literally right as we started our search. Not at all sure when to buy anymore.
