@Brian Gibbons Thanks, Brian! I have more free time than most recent grads I know and I am determined to use that extra time to continue investing in my own education. That said, I will certainly look into Ben's course in Multi Financing. I appreciate the advice!

@Ned Carey Thanks, Ned! I can see that the BP website is packed full of great information. I appreciate you pointing me toward the most pertinent info for newbies like myself (could have taken a while to find that if I was searching on my own)!

Hello everyone! I am a recent college grad residing, and hopefully soon investing, in Racine, WI (between Milwaukee and Chicago). As I was told in college "it's not just the grades you make but the hands you shake" that will help you in life. So here I am, fired up and ready to network with you BP people!

I currently hold a part-time supervisor position at UPS in their finance department on second shift. This leaves my 9-5 hours wide open for all things real estate! I have been reading and listening to podcasts about real estate investing for the better part of the last two years and can see clearly why so many people use this as a vehicle to achieve financial freedom.

In early 2014 my plans are to continue taking classes for a certificate in Geographic Information Systems and I am also considering acquiring my real estate license before spring.

I see myself focusing on buy & hold multifamily units. I would love to hear any advice for someone who is just starting off (i.e. things I can do now to make myself a valuable enough asset to a seasoned investor so that they might be willing to serve as a mentor, creative ways for me to come up with financing, etc.).

I look forward to hearing from you all!
