Post: How can I get my land cleared of timber w/o paying a fortune?

Hi BP,
Turns out I found a company willing to take down the trees (on my 7.3 ac. and neighbor's 12.4 ac.) The problem is there's a county law that requires erosion mitigation plans and provisions for "land-disturbing activity" before cutting trees on commercial (not on the 12.4 agricultural land surrounding it). This is so, even though no stumps will be dug up! The cost of all this is not feasible for the company that wants the trees. Has anyone else been confronted with this or a similar problem? If so, were you able to get a variance from the ordinance by the local Board? Thank you!

It's on commercial zoned land between 2 mobile home parks in Stafford Co. VA; not going to get arrested for it.

Hello,
Does anyone have ideas about how to get my land (7 ac.) partially cleared of timber? I've tried a few firewood deliverers. Thanks!
