Closed on my first house, and one week into my first flip! Will pretty much be a complete renovation and hoping this project takes less than 6 weeks. Wish me luck!

Joe, thats exactly what I'd like to do. I currently own a rental home in Louisiana, but looking into getting into the flipping business with the goal of holding in the long-term.

Any benefit to joining San Antonio Investment Clubs? If so, what do you recommend?

Thanks for the info Elizabeth, and I hope your husband is enjoying his service! I've had the pleasure of working with the Navy on multiple occasions.
Paul, any areas where you see demand for flips would help. I chose the area east of 37 based on houses selling as is vs selling renovated. Currently as is homes are selling for $40 per sq ft vs $150 per sq ft renovated. I would like to be in a position one day where by business concept revolved around holding properties, but I think I would need to be a little more aggressive starting out.

After 8.5 years in the Air Force, it's time for me to hang up my active duty military hat and hit the real estate market in San Antonio. I have one active rental property in Louisiana and look to get into the flip business. I'm assuming that the flip market in San Antonio is saturated, but it's a challenge I look forward to taking head on. My question is, what are the best markets for flip projects? Doing some research, it seems just east of 37 looks to have potential, specifically the area around the Alamodome. I'm not looking to hit a home run by any means. I need a good location to get my feet wet and any advice would be appreciated! Fortunately, I have some connections to contractors, real estate agents, landscaping services etc. Any assistance on trusted contractors would be beneficial as well! Thanks in advance for the help, thanks for making San Antonio beautiful, and look forward to working with all of you!
