I have had several jobs in my life that I just used as stepping stones to something bigger. Just remember that job that is just a job, you dont have to do it for ever.

Hi Chandler Diaz,  Getting started selling Real Estate will be a long slow start and no guarantee that you will be able to sell and make a living doing it. Most successful Realtors have an established clientele and the real power in selling real estate is to have your own listings so you make money even if you dont sell the properties. Personally I would take the job, bank all the CASH you can while you are young. Having a small pile of CASH in the bank will be a great asset to you when you

buy your first property.

Hi Mike, Don't waste your money on an appraisal, it wont be valid as you have hired your own appraiser. Ask your Realtor to pull comps and then make your decision. If you feel your Realtor is too high then you can lower it. You can also ask a few different Realtors to give you an estimate. They will do that work for free where as an Appraisal will cost you to come up with an estimate. When you get a buyer Their bank will require an appraisal and that will be the deciding factor as to price.

Most of those seminars are not worth the money. you can get more value from buying some  of the best real estate books. Or better yet borrow them from your local library. The up sell is the way they try to get beginners to fork over $40K.
