@Aj Parikh Congratulations on taking action and getting your first deal under your belt! I'm considering long distance investing in Cleveland too, most likely via the BRRRR strategy though. I'm just curious about how your first 6 months have been, smooth? any surprises? Any lessons learned?

@Bill Hampton Thanks. Yeah, we definitely open to out of state CPAs or EAs, and definitely want someone to help with Tax Strategy.

Hello BP Community,

I am new to real estate investing and am doing my first house hack in the Providence, RI area. I am currently in the process of building my team and am looking for a CPA that has experience working with real estate investors to help with long term tax strategy. Do you guys have any recommendations? I know from other forum posts that we beyond RI for a good CPA with real estate investment. We've had a couple great conversations with CPAs out of state, but have been quoted from $1800 to $3000 for tax planning and filing 2020 returns. We have one property that we are house hacking, so not sure if these quotes are typical or not. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Gabriel

@Shawn Jacobsen starting with a lightweight form which may not feel like it is as large of a commitment as downloading an app makes sense. Thanks for the info!

I am also interested in hearing from others if forcing tenants to download an app is a large barrier? Also, for those using RentRedi, do you absorb the $1 monthly ACH transaction fees or do you pass that on to the tenants?

@Brian Liscio - Have you had any trouble with getting your tenants set-up on the app? I'm looking into RentRedi (versus Cozy/TenantCloud) but worry that some tenants will have trouble with the mobile app only structure.
