Hi BP investors!

I'm planning on selling my 1904 home in May of 2018. The equity will pay off debt and allow me to purchase my first investment property! One problem... the furnace is about 30 years old. Passes inspection every year and runs like a top. Should I replace to get top dollar?

Thanks!!

Jenny,

Thank you so much for such a detailed response. I love this forum stuff!!!

Hi BP investors!

My name is Gabriel and I'm brand new to all of this and looking for a way to get started. I have about 90K in my primary residence and my wife and I are thinking about bitting the bullet and moving in with family and selling the home to save some money and get an investment property.

Will I face cap gains taxes if I don't reinvest right away? Any other advice?

Thanks!!
