You have to go to the IRS? That's insane and how does that work?

On this IRS Webpage there is a list of free file tax services. I was wondering if they help you with Schedule E rental income and expenses, including depreciation.

I've used them in the past when I was just an employee serf. The last few years I've been at a firm that lets us file on their pro tax software, but I'm no longer there. I have 3 properties plus my house which I've been house hacking and depreciating for 3 years (a CPA got the ball rolling on that so I am sure the numbers are good). That's pretty much all I want from a program as well as the ability to free file in the state of MN. I started doing the HR block but I couldn't get past the W-2 section since I didn't have mine on hand, but I'm suspicious if it will have that or ask me to upgrade and pay.

Post: MN CRP form house hack - is each rm a separate unit on propertyID

Is each room a separate unit on the MN CRP form?

On the same line as Property ID or Parcel Number they ask for the number of units on this property.
Depending on the definition, for me it could be 1-3

What do they do with that info anyway?
