Yes I’m looking at the Frisco/Prosper area as the PGA headquarter is being built there. Any thoughts on that area?

Hi Bp!
I'm looking to purchase a STR as my first real estate investment property in Galveston Texas. Does anyone here own STRs in that area? Do you see good returns? Also, do you self manage or pay for property management? If so, what percentage/amount? Moreover, am I crazy to buy my first RE investment sight unseen?

@Salvatore Lentini
First of all, thank you!
Secondly, I am currently in the process of acquiring my first rental property and I was wondering how people typically pay property managers.
Thirdly, does one have to be present to close on a property?
Finally is the property management rate for STR similar to Long term rental?

I am surprised Dallas Texas is not in there although there’s been a rise in people moving down here in the past few years as a result of job growth and several other factors...

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us as well as the tips! Keep crushing it sir! :)

Worcester is a really tough market to purchase in due to the investor interest. Usually you are up against multiple investors who offer quick closing and cash offers. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you so much for this information. You are right, Worcester is a tough market. Did you work with a buyer’s agent/broker to acquire the property? If yes, would you mind sharing their information? Thank you
