I want to sell my house in Luling, La. I'm currently waiting for roofing supplies (metal shingles) to get that replaced. It's a set thing so no changing that.
Since the house needs other work I don't have a good/accurate valuation of the house or a real estate agent yet. But I do have people interested in buying it.
It's a 3 bed, 1 1/2 jack and jill bath. 1,100 sq ft.
The soffit and fascia also need replacing. Inside it needs paint and a little updating.
I'm currently living in Minnesota but someone is usually there.
Any agents around there that would like to work on this?

She's a rescue and has separation anxiety. Same with the dog. LOL But seriously, the dog clings to her.
I talked to the seller and he's going to work with me. In a way, I'm buying the land that the trailer is on and the trailer is just a freebie since it's not worth a whole hell of a lot. Semantics I guess.

I currently have a house in La. that is being repaired thanks to Hurricane Ida. It's also been needing renovations for a few years now. The mortgage (Rocket) is about $87k and the Zestimate is about $167k.
I'm currently working out of state and am looking at buying an old trailer and land for about $40k.
How would I go about handling this transaction? Should I get real estate agents in both locations? Would a mortgage company do something like a transfer to the lesser value property?
In a way, I want to rent out the old house but I have enough on my plate as it is.
I'd also like to sell the house and buy the trailer with the "proceeds" but my girlfriend still needs the house to live in. I'd move her up here but the hotel I'm being housed in doesn't allow pets.
Any suggestions or article links would be helpful.

Newbie in New Orleans looking for networking. I've been researching for about a year now and want to start moving forward. If anyone is interested in doing meetups, online or in small groups, lets talk.
Post: A house built in 1960's listed as 2006?

I noticed that a house that I KNOW was built in the 1960s is listed on Zillow as BUILT in 2006. The house WAS flooded in Hurricane Katrina but not torn down, just gutted and rehabbed. The slab, framing, structure, etc are still original.
Some other houses in the area were also listed like this.
How does this work in the real estate world?
I know this info is true since I grew up on that street in the starting in the late 1960s and had friends that lived in that house.
