Thank you all so much, do you know how do I do that? do I need a lawyer or how can I set it up?

Also do you know if he can be a resident of a different country?

(not the USA)

Hello all,

Now that mortgage rates are crazy I was thinking with a family member he can land me money to buy a home with a much smaller interest rate.
This person is not from the USA and have no affiliation to the the USA . Is it possible for him to give me the money and than I will open an account in the USA under his name and pay him back every month with a certain interest? Is there a legal, organized way of doing that?

Thank you!

Hello,

Hoping someone here can enlighten me. I have bought a house for myself with the intention of making it my primary resident. Unfortunately I had to sell writhing 2 years and the property didn't end up to be my primary resident.

Now that I just sold it, I was told I need to pay about 3.3% for the Franchise Tax Board withholding of the total sale. In addition I was told that of the profit I will pay 20% for income tax. Does that make sense? Do I ay booth?
Also- for the Franchise Tax Board withholding, do they release me back the money or is it a payment ?

Thank you!

Hello,

Does anyone knows of in today’s market can I offer 4.5% real estate commission to seller agent to spot with buyers agent? Is it too low?

Thank you!

Thank you Wayne! you helped me a lot.

Hello,

We have bought a house as a primary resident and due to personal reasons Its seems like we are going to need to sell it about a year after the house was purchased. I'm trying to read to read on line but I don't understand if there s a different tax if holding a property less than en a year, more than a year but less the two year?
Also - what would be the rate of the capital gain tax if I net about 50K? are the closing cost and realtors commission being taking into consideration when the determining the taxable amount?

Thank you!
