So, I went in with expectations that I would get something out of the workshop. Nope. It was exactly like we had all thought it would go. They are pitching their company. After the break only 5-6 of us were left. I just stayed to get the free gift. I was there for 2 1/2 hours, might as well stay the extra 30 for the gift. Needless to say if anyone plans on attending this workshop, I wouldn't waste your time away from family. Plug in your headphones and listen to a couple podcast. You'll learn a lot more from it than the workshop.

@James Wilcox I think you said it exactly how I am hoping and it expecting to go. I am in now way looking into their products but I think after the workshop I am hoping to get rid of the fear. Thank you for the comment. Very exciting!

Thank you all for the great advice. I WILL NOT but anything there. I already assume they will be probably promoting their brand as well as products. I have only been on BP for two weeks and can tell I have anything I need here within this community. I think by attending I am just curious about different perspectives and to see what they have to say. I'm keeping an open mind about it but yet still refuse to purchase anything there. Still please reach out to me with any advice as I will reach out with questions as I learn. I still currently work full-time but plan on attending community meetings as I see them when the opportunity arises. Again though, this is why I love BP. The community here is so welcoming with great advice.

My apologies, I just sent a message back without reading this. Yes, I agree 1) it is free and 2) the unrealistic expectations. I am in this for the long haul as soon as I can learn the basics before I jump in.

Hello,

I am not promoting anything but yet I am still new to the real estate side of things. My wife and I have signed up to attend Tarek and Christina's workshop on December 8th at 6pm in Louisville, Ky at the Galt House.

I am not sure if this is a good idea or not as we are new and still laying out the ground work within this career field. I would still like to attend even if I hear a lot of con's as I would like to explore it myself. With that being said, if anyone is attending from this area, please feel free to reach out to me as I would not mind meeting up and connecting with people. This is something that we are both excited about and believe it is the start of a new journey. Best Holiday Wishes!

Respectfully,

Lee

I love success stories. Congratulations brother.

Thank you all for the comments.

Erik, do you have a time that they are having the meeting? I am familiar with that place but unfortunately I work till 8pm that night. If I can't make it that night, I am definitely interested in other meetings.

Jim, thank you for commenting as well. I actually found your name on here prior to your comments by just searching KY area investors. I am still learning this website and will have to add you all shortly.

Chris, I am still at the brainstorming(crawl) phase with this kind of work force. I do not have any investments other than my government military Thrift Savings Plan. So, I am unsure on what my worth is at this point. This is literally my 2nd day on the site and just learning at this point I don't want to jump into any other investments until I know what I am doing Haha. Hopefully in the near future I will know where I want to take this. I also have a meeting with a real estate agent who I actually personally know. I am fully expecting to be enlightened more after this week.

Again, thank you all for the welcoming. I will stay in touch with my progress.

Hello everyone. My name is Lee. I live in Kentucky near the Louisville, Kentucky area but just south of it actually. Just found and registered on this site two days ago. I have been listening to the BP podcast constantly and trying to learn the ropes. First off, I am a college graduate while serving in the Army NG out of Indiana. I work as a police officer out of Louisville. I am currently 29 years old and have always had retirement on my mind since before I even turned 18. I am not one of those typical millennial's. I am a hard working and determined individual who gives anything I work towards 100%. So, right now I am in the beginning phase of wanting to start my own business. I want to buy properties and rent them out. I know there is a lot of potential in this market and it has always interested me. My wife and I constantly watch home improvement shows to the point where we are noticing our love for remodeling. Honestly, I do not have any experience just yet with it but I have ties to people who do. I have already talked to a few people by making connections in the HVAC area, Real Estate as well as home improvement area as well. So as you can see in the last few days I am attempting to connect with people in order to start this process. 1 year goal: buy a property and start renting it out. 3 year goal: buy a property and flip it. 5 year goal: have multiple properties and have them rented out but also have my little business successful and charging on. So, from here I just need advice. I'm going to continue to learn on my own, listen to the podcast and seek advice from the forums and my contacts. I have tons of questions that would be too much to write. Yet, one of the main questions I have that worries me(due to my experience in law) do I need to go ahead and seek a lawyer and sit down and have this talk with them? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you all and hope to continue to connect soon! Respectfully, Lee
