Post: Storage unit development questions

Hello all,

Central Ohio here. I am looking at potentially developing some new self storage facilities. I am trying to figure out the best locations to do this. Anyone have any good advice on why key demographics would be for this? How do I actually gather info to compare areas to determine the best locations?

Is there some sort of GIS software? I have not used it before but would like to learn to do this feasibility analysis myself instead of hiring it out.

Thanks!

Hey all!  Sorry if this is not the right place to post this, but I am really looking for some input from you guys on this!

Long story short, I am going to take my RE Licensing  classes online (obviously) for now, and have looked at two options.  Hondros and Davis College Offered through The CE Shop.  I am looking in particular at the CE shop/David college.  has anyone had any experience, positive or negative with these?

Thanks so much, and I CAN'T WAIT to take the next step in my real estate career!

Hey all! I am working on putting a list of reputable contractors together for my area. Once I have identified a number of them I am going to interview them as best as possible.

What are the questions I need to be asking in these initial interviews? I don’t have any deals to provide them at the moment, just working on laying the ground work so that I have a team when it’s time to pull the trigger.

Thanks!

Post: Build a Triplex or Quadplex?

Hey all, I am currently renting, and would like to buy a house of my own. I was thinking that I could build either a triplex or quadplex and rent the other 2-3 units out as a starting investment. Couple of questions, would you recommend a triplex or quadplex for this approach? Had anyone done this for their first home? Securing a loan will also be a challenge probably for something that large. What would be most economical in your opinion? I would go for something as economical as possible, maybe split level, including things like a garage, fenced in back yards, and 3 bedroom 2 bath units. Any floor plan/style of home recommendations would be much appreciated to try to keep construction costs down. Trying to cater to millennials who don't want to buy. Any input? Thanks for reading!

Hey guys, I am really looking to escape the rat race. Real estate has been in my family's portfolio for years. I grew up around it, and I truly love it. I would like to figure out the best place for me personally to enter the real estate life. I have been wanting to make it my life's work since I was a kid watching my dad do the same. I have a few ideas on how I can get into it but, you guessed it, I am not wealthy and need to gain experience. Anyhow, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys I am becoming increasingly interested in the topic of wholesaling. I think it will be my way into real estate, something I have always wanted to pursue. Does anyone have any advice on actually identifying the best market/neighborhoods/areas around me to focus my wholesaling efforts? Thanks!

Hey guys I am becoming increasingly interested in the topic of wholesaling. I think it will be my way into real estate, something I have always wanted to pursue. I have one question about wholesaling properties that as of yet no one has addressed. What happens if you get a property under contract but can not sell it? Thanks!
