Thanks for the greetings everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Adam Jones and I live in Houston, TX. I am new to real estate investing. Our personal experience of buying a personal residence got me involved with MLS so I am seeking to use that knowledge as I start investing. I am an engineer so I like data. I have a full-time job and my goal is to develop my real estate investment business slowly as a side job. The ultimate goal is to generate enough revenue over the next 15 years to develop three moderate sized ($100K each) 529 plans to be used toward our three kids' college educations.

I am just starting out and haven't decided whether to buy and hold, flip, or wholesale. My wife is a licensed real estate agent so that gives us some flexibility in terms of contracting transactions.

Hi everyone. First post here. My name is Adam and I'm from Houston. This site and the podcasts are so helpful. I really appreciate the info. I have learned a ton in the few weeks since I joined. I have a question about setting up an LLC. I do some consulting work in addition to my full time job. I've been planning to set up an LLC for the consulting work and treat as a small business. Now that I am planning to start real estate investing I thought I might combine the two areas into a single LLC. What are your thoughts on that? Pros and cons of doing a single LLC versus two separate LLCs? Thanks again. This website and the info available is tremendously helpful!
