I am based in Texas but looking to make a purchase of a vacant lot in South Carolina. I am new to SC and have heard it’s a closing attorney state. As the buyer what does that require of me? I am knowledgeable and have done plenty of deals so I would not normally consult an attorney. Does the seller or buyer pay the attorney fees?

Congrats Dawn! Great deal. If you don't mind, I'm curious how you came to the $23K offer. If you were worried about competition, why not offer full listing price? If not worried about competition, why not offer less? Thanks and congrats again.
