@Randy Dargan Hi Randy, the webinar is through a group associated with Joe Fairless called the Cincy best ever REI mastermind. I believe they usually have in person monthly networking events but now are doing online webinars due to COVID.

I am trying to pick my target neighborhoods for BRRRR investing. I see you're in NKY too. Do you see any advantages to investing in NKY?

Maybe, it’s better to DM about NKY me so as not to hijack this thread.

Ona recent webinar with Cincinnati investors, these neighborhoods were mentioned as possible good areas for investment: Mt Auburn, Walnut Hills, Avondale and West End.

I’m also just getting started... good luck!

I’m no expert to Cincinnati real estate but as a Cincy local I will just comment that most of the buildings in Cincinnati-proper are older. The city was founded in 1788 and was a major city for the region in the 1800’s. I doubt there are very many affordable buildings with in the city limits that are newer...

Hi Sean,

Thanks for the perspective. I didn't know that others had tried something similar. That makes sense that as long as the MLS is the number one place to list, you won't be reaching nearly as many potential buyers.

Hi Clifton, my goal is to pursue a buy and hold strategy with a goal to buy my first property in 2021. I'm currently reading David Greene's BRRRR book so I'm thinking to emulate his strategy. I'll DM you to get details on what you're looking for.

@Clifton Jones Hi! I'm an aspiring REI here in Cincinnati. I am just starting my education. One of my next goals is to practice analyzing neighborhoods and deals. (Finding comps, ARV, average rent etc.)

If you send me a couple neighborhoods you’re interested in and then the type of property, I’d be happy to send you the results of my research.

I came across an article about a new start up In Cincinnati called Homeshake. It claims their product will replace the services that a real estate agent provides in a home sale. Has anyone looked into this? I’d be curious to hear thoughts- will it be successful? Would you try to use it?

Hi Jordan!

I'm in a very similar boat- I live in Bellevue, KY and I'm absorbing as much as I can through BP podcasts and other resources. I'm currently reading David Greene's book on BRRRR.

I also learned about a local RE meet up group that has a webinar tomorrow evening hosted by Cincinnati's Best Ever REI Mastermind. Message me if you want to join and need help finding the group.

I have also joined the NKY Real Estate Investor Network on FB. Hope one of these of helpful to you!

@Peter Sukits I live in NKY (Bellevue) so right now I’m trying to find out if I should target KY or OH properties. KY has lower property taxes in general but there may be other factors In not aware of yet.

Do you know anything about investing in NKY?

@Peter Sukits I’m also starting out and live in the Cincinnati area. Hopefully I will buy my first property early next year. (Right now targeting SF buy and hold.)

It’s amazing to see the support of everyone on this thread. Hope y’all don’t mind if I connect with each of you too!
