Welcome Seth! I’m also a military veteran and a RE investor in the Olympia area. Good luck on a successful RE career!

Thanks @Michael Baum. I'm renting out two ADU's on my property and I'm not panicking it's just I went from being busy all spring and summer, now that September hit I currently only have two guests scheduled for a few days this month.

I figured this is my first September running my short-term rental. I’ll look up the data on airdna but I would think the Pacific Northwest in the fall would be a perfect time to visit.

Quote from @Bruce Woodruff:

I wouldn't change too much for a few slow weeks or months. Better to have an empty place than have a bunch of partiers in there because you panicked and dropped the rates. Use the time to reflect on your place, maybe do a deep clean or a small remodel? Or go there yourself?

Thanks it’s been a slow September so far after a busy summer

Quote from @Mike Yeghekian:

Not sure how to answer that... i have 1 condo thats a 30 day MIN Airbnb. I personally think that if you house or condo stands out and its priced right.. you will get booked.

The room has been busy just slow this September

Hello everyone,

I just started watching videos and podcasts about REITS and index funds. I’m going to do more research on each before I start investing in the beginning of next year. If anyone has any advice about starting out investing in each it would be much appreciated!!
