@Dustin Thomas They are properties I own that function as full-time Airbnbs. I'm the main host for each and manage them myself. Let's chat soon, I love the STR game.

@Chilann Chan In San Antonio I think there's an opportunity for you to have the best of both worlds. Appreciation and Cashflow if you're open to the idea of AirBnb. SA is very STR friendly and homes are still reasonably priced with a high occupancy rate for running a STR. Especially if you're within an Uber ride to some of the main attractions like The Alamo, River Walk, The Pearl, etc. I currently self manage a few Airbnbs in various markets and currently have my eyes set on SA as my next place to purchase a few homes. I'd be happy to share any knowledge I have if you decide to go that route. Good luck on your journey.

@Rick Buenaventura Hey Rick! My husband and I are trying to do the same thing. We went under contract on a condo downtown that legally allows STR, but the building had quite a few issues so we backed out and now we are waiting on another opportunity to pop up. Downtown has been hit hard due to covid and condo prices have significantly dropped. But downtown Seattle with the space needle, and pike place, music venues, waterfront, hockey stadium, etc will always remain appealing to tourist in my opinion so we're going to take the plunge and buy something as a 100% STR. Good luck on your journey and if you have any questions feel free to PM me :)

@Carlos Gonzalez Interesting. I currently buy and hold SFH but I'm looking to transition into multi-family. I'll check out the AZ market.

@Michael Ablan Great advice about treating your cleaning crew and maintenance person like hold. This alone will make or break your business.

@Jordan Moorhead If I refinance my thought is that I'd be replacing my old mortgage with a brand new one, starting the loan over. I'd prefer not restarting my loan term at 30 years if possible. If I do a 15 or 20 year loan my payments would increase by quite a bit. Ideally I'd love to have something like a HELOC and only pay for what I use.
