If i was you I would look toward Livingston for a better return than Bozeman as the numbers seem beter to me for buy and hold.

Again Welcome to the site!!!

I was thinking about purchasing a 4 flex in Livingston MT. I am from California (Bay Area). It would be my first time purchasing such a large complex. I already own 2 SFR in Bay Area. Can anyone guide me here? Any books you would recommend, videos, information on purchasing multi family residences. I am excited and scared at the same time! Thoughts, suggestions, comments? Thank you all! Gayle

Good Afternoon!

Thank you for reading my post!  Gardiner, Montana, gateway to YS is Good place to invest in a vacation rental?  I was looking at a small 2 br house, 1931, total fixer but downtown.  Overpriced ($175k).  Still a good place?  Im from California so I was wondering about winter problems, concerns as well???  I love Montana but not sure about investing?? Heard that Boseman or Livingston are good places to invest?  Thanks kindly!

ditto. sounds good, Im interested

ok. i'll find more property details! Thank you

I found an opportunity that might be worth while for investors.  I am a newby but I do own a couple of SFRs.  This property is located in a coastal community has a 2000 s/f commercial bldg, and two SFRs, maybe three.  The property is about 13,000 s/f and is very close to the local state beach.  The property has not gone on the market officially yet but the RE agent told me cost of about $950k.  I am looking for advice/partnership/thoughts on if it would be a good investment??  Thank kindly! Gayle
