Post: Investing in Plum and/or Verona

Hi all...

I have some opportunities for investments in Plum and/or Verona, but I am not super familiar with those areas. How do y'all feel about the areas? Up and coming? Kinda just steady? Good restaurants, parks, shopping...general things to do? I see the schools get pretty good ratings, but I would like to also appeal to a broader audience.

Any insight on the general vibe of those areas would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Heather! Newbie investor here but have you considered the Norfolk/Portsmouth area? With Norfolk Naval Base, EVMS and ODU, rentals are always in demand. The challenge is finding a multi-family unit in the right area to invest in. I have a condo near EVMS but I used to live in it before renting through furnished finder for traveling professionals. If you have someone to partner up with and get the right deal, it could be worth looking into.

 Hi Leigh!!

I'm looking to invest somewhere that's a little bit cheaper than the peninsula. I haven't had great luck finding anything in the areas you mentioned. But hey, keep in touch and maybe we can with on something locally together!

Hey Heather, have you considered the Syracuse NY area at all? Multi families are very common due to multiple hospitals and universities. All types of neighborhoods ranging from C to A. Very affordable relatively speaking and competitive market rents. The micron microchip processing plant is coming in 2025 and is likely to cause a huge need for housing

Hi Kiernan!

I haven't looked into Syracuse, but thanks for the heads-up. I'm always looking for a great market that provides decent cash flow. Are you invested there?

Hi everyone!

I'm Heather. I'm from Williamsburg, VA by way of Chattanooga, TN who is looking to invest in Pittsburgh, PA.

I currently own a lovely townhome with a walkout basement that I'm preparing to House Hack.

Williamsburg is a less investor friendly place to live in, so I'm looking to partner with others who love the Pittsburgh area as much as I do on 10-50 unit multifamilies. I'm looking for light value add in C to B+ neighborhoods.

I'm ready to connect, network and chat with everyone here! I'm starting from scratch so I need it all... Lenders, attorneys, PM's, insurance agents and of course, fellow investors.

i can bring capital to the table and some mean underwriting skills so feel free to reach out if I can help you!

I also love Chattanooga, so Nooga people feel free to reach out to me too!

Cheers y'all!
